What is it?
The U.S. Work Authorization filter enables you to screen candidates who can legitimately work in the U. S. without sponsorship or additional authorization paperwork. Hiretual understands that recruiters find it hard to get their hands on this type of information because it is sensitive in nature.
Therefore, Hiretual has developed algorithms to analyze candidates' possible working status for you to reference, without violations of individuals' private information.
To be clear, the results generated are based on different dimensions of data, making the best guess as to their authorization of work but not directly data of candidates' self-identifying their official status.
Where is it & How does it help?
Click Source Candidates, and go into the Work Authorization filter tab
Check the box of U.S. Work Authorization to enable it
Q: How do Hiretual’s algorithms work to determine whether candidates are authorized to work in the U.S.? What parameters are considered?
A: Hiretual considers candidates’ education and work experiences along with their locations to help infer their working statuses in the U.S.
For example, a candidate of Asian descent attends undergraduate school in Asia, then attends graduate school in the U.S., and has worked for a U.S. company for seven years. In this case, it is very likely that the candidate is either a U.S. citizen or a Green Cardholder.
*These factors only make it more likely for Hiretual to tag candidates as authorized to
work in the U.S.
Q: How accurate is Hiretual’s U.S. Work Authorization filter?
A: Hiretual constantly improves it by refining algorithms and fetching new data. However, it is impossible to guarantee perfect accuracy, reliability, or completeness. Your precaution of conducting additional search and verification is recommended.
The filter has an 85% accuracy rate. Not all candidates explicitly include their working statuses on their public profiles.
Q: Which types of candidates can Hiretual’s U.S. Work Authorization filter help me find? Does the filter find candidates of other employment types too?
A: Hiretual’s U.S. Work Authorization filter finds U.S. citizens and Green Cardholders only.
Q: What if I want to find candidates with other employment types, such as H-1B, OPT, or EAD?
A: Hiretual can still be used to find candidates with these employment statuses. Simply enter these phrases into our Keyword box or Mandatory Skills sections. To learn more about how to do this, please visit this article.
